The Balvenie creator of fine single malt Scotch whiskies, and Royal Selangor designers of exquisite pewter, unveils their first ever collaborative collection with the ultra limited edition collector’s box and a selection of exclusive gift packs for Malaysia and Singapore.
Revealed at a virtual launch, the ultra edition collector’s box is The Balvenie’s maiden collaboration with a made-in-Malaysia brand under ‘The Balvenie Handcrafted By’ platform. It aims to bring to life the passion for craftsmanship, and celebrate the heart, passion and people behind different crafts.
With only 15 individually numbered sets available, the limited edition collector’s item is a celebration of the coming together of an award-winning Speyside single malt whisky and the world’s foremost name in quality pewter from Malaysia. Both parties are dedicated in staying true to living their craft and have been doing so for over a century.
The collector’s box is a vessel made from high grade walnut wood encased in handcrafted pewter utilizing Royal Selangor’s signature dimple design and precision hammering technique that takes up to six days to complete. A true handmade work of art.
Three signature bottles can be housed within the box, and collectors and connoisseurs can choose from The Balvenie expressions which are 30 years and above.
For those single malt whisky appreciators who prefer something more affordable, there are the gift packs, a selection of the rich and luxuriously smooth 12 Year Old DoubleWood, 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask or 17 Year Old DoubleWood single malt that comes together with a delicately handcrafted whisky glass with a hefty pewter foundation .
The Balvenie is dedicated to the five rare crafts that are used to create The Balvenie’s distinctive taste. It is the only distillery that still grows its own barley, uses traditional floor maltings and keeps both coppersmiths and coppers on site – making The Balvenie the most handcrafted of single malts.
Gift packs are available from January 2021 onwards in Cold Storage, TMC, Mercato, AEON, Maxvalu, Jaya Grocer, Village Grocer@Tropicana, Tesco and Sunshine.
