Ah Brunch.

I love brunches especially when there’s copious amounts of good food and alcohol involved.

(Does that make me a bad person??)

Anyway, one of the terrific things about Sunday brunch, is that you get to sit for ages, and just indulge in good food, and no one is in any particular hurry.

And for this year, the buzz word is the St. Regis KL’s brunch. The brunch takes on a luxurious French-Mediterranean Sunday fiesta atmosphere that’s hard to top.

The fact that it’s child friendly.. almost child intuitive should I go so far to say, is a huge plus for us!

Inspired by the French daily markets, the Sunday Brunch at The Brasserie of The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur got me all excited with THREE words. ALASKAN KING CRAB.

Yup, gets me every-time. Be sure you will be amazed by their array of seafood from Alaskan King Crab and freshly shucked fine de Claire oysters, to freshly smoked and cured salmon and briny prawns on the rocks.

Other delights include the signatures of Heirloom Tomato and Creamy Burrata and a perfectly roasted Black Angus rib eye served with roasted vegetables at the carving station. The carving station will also feature a fish and poultry dish on rotation.

A different a la carte menu will be featured every week with specials such as linguine served with Black Angus bolognaise, asparagus risotto, eggs Florentine, and waffle served with foie gras terrine and mango chutney.

Select from an assortment of imported cheeses from the tangy Vacherin Mont d’Or to the piquant Roquefort AOP Papillon and creamy camembert. End the meal with sweet nothings such as cinnamon churros, magnum fudge brownies and assorted macarons.

If you dig cocktails as I do, you mustn’t miss the signature Assam Boi Mary. There’s also enough free flow of Veuve Clicquot, red and white wine to keep the average person happy.
