So.. we were walking around.. soaking up the vibe… wondering where to eat…

well.. the proof of the pudding is in the eating… so.. less talk.. lets EAT.
Being suckers for good food and all things LARD worthy, we decided to cut to the chase, and order the restaurant’s Pièce de résistance.. the duck.
All kinds.
Every kind.
Ooo yea.. we were on a roll…
Starting at 1 o’clock… The Teow-Chew Braised, The Regular Roasted and , last but not least…, The Nanjing Salted…
all this gorgeous duck would not be complete without the signature wantan mee noodle…
so.. THAT, we ordered, too.

10 minutes into the eating…
my colleagues look at me and say… “so pretty.. so nice looking.. but no taste la…”
That about sums it up. All show, no go.
The braised duck at PJ STATE is so much better. The roast duck at Sunrise Sea Park is soooooooooo much more tasty.
Which just goes to show.. don’t judge a book by its cover.
For me and my colleagues, we will take long queues, sweltering heat and jostling elbows any day, over air-conditioning, luxurious deco and plush seats… if that’s what it takes to have a satisfying meal.
That’s just the way we are 😛
Food :4/10
Price :rm35 for that 3-combination you see in the photo.
MSG levels: moderate
Awwwww…it sure does look good though.
Ya lar.. wot to do… maybe the other dishes are good tho.. we didn’t have enough mouths to sample the rest that day 😉
Sigh, I was eyeing this place as I could spy it from the main road. Maybe I shld look for Jaya Noodle Hse instead as that is assured quality.
