They say great things come in small packages and EDJU is no exception to the rule.
This place has a mere 10 seats only, and that’s where the name is derived from as well, incidentally.
Chef Ed (ED) and 10 (JU) are the winning formulae, here in Damansara City Mall.
Enter through a nondescript whisky bar and find Chef Eddie Ng hard at work along a minimalist looking sushi bar counter. A Perlis-born boy he was also the man responsible for the Pop Up Sushi Bar at D.C TTDI not too long ago. He disappeared from the face of the earth for a while to re-emerge with ED.JU. Chef Ed picked up his skills in London and his fish is mainly sourced from Hikkaido as well as Tsukiji Market, Toyko.
From RM680 per person, Chef Ed’s signature aged sushi is the bomb. Totally devient from the normal expectations of sushi bars the contemporary Japanese cuisine served here is nothing short of amazing.
Chef’s selection of Omakase Sushi – changes every time depending on what’s in season
The subtle flavour conferred by ageing is subtle and not at all “in your face” . It’s an experience you need to try for yourselves to believe just how good it is. It intensifies the flavour of the fish for sure.
You get value for money at EDJU with a massive selection of sushi, sashimi and even beef and chicken if you opt for it. It’s definitely with checking out for great sushi at a strategic location KL. The food will not disappoint!
