Spicy Sangria Nights… at La Bodega

La Bodega’s latest offerings are all set to excite the tastebuds this month, starting with its new spicy drink – the Spiced Red Sangria.

This new Sangria is spiced with cinnamon and spiked with Vana Tallinn, a rum-based liqueur from Estonia and is incredibly delicious. I love the fragrant botanics that give it a particularly unique and nutty flavour.

Other fabulous new tapas offerings include, the Alchachofas A La Romana (Crispy artichokes with jalapeño basil alioli); Arroz Negro Con Calamares Y Gambas (Spanish rice with squid ink, squid and tiger prawns, topped with alioli) and the  Queso De Cabra (Fried Spanish goats’ cheese served with lemon honey)

Also new and hot off the kitchen include the Albóndigas Con Ajo Picante De Chocolate (Beef meatballs on crispy rice with spicy chocolate garlic chip) ; Boquerones Mixta (Marinated and cured Spanish anchovies served with roasted peppers, black olive paté and grated tomatoes); Tiradores De Ostra (Fresh oysters with dashi ponzu sauce and a quail egg topped with daikon oroshi and piquillo peppers) and the Sardinas A La Parrilla (Grilled sardines with chilli scallion dressing)

And if you’re constantly parched, like we are (haha) check out the Pazo das Bruxas albariño from the Familia Torres winery;  Sangre De Toro of garnacha tinta and cariñena grape varietals, from the Miguel Torres winery; Spanish Gin-Tonic with Iron Balls gin from Bangkok is just superb – this G+T is best made with pineapple sticks, torch ginger flower, and kaffir lime leaves. Sublime!
