All that glitters, might not be gold.
But at Gold Bar, liquid gold is definitely the tipple of choice.
You can’t really go wrong, serving Bavarian craft beer alongside a smorgasbord of starters and pork dishes.. or can you?
Well, we set out to put their food and drinks to the test.
The watermelon feta cheese salad was refreshingly succulent.
However these fries were shockingly unpalatable. We didn’t even bother finishing it.
Pasta so salty we could not proceed after the first mouthful. Why do they have to kill perfectly fine food with so much salt.
The pizza was not incredibly memorable but it was edible.
The burger sliders (with pulled pork) we loved. So we ordered a second helping since we could barely eat the food that preceded this.
The German beers here are divine. Blonde beers, Lagers, and dark beers are the bomb. Just get a tray if you’re not sure what to order. On Wednesdays, ladies night, the wines are 1 for 1 at RM18 a glass – a real good deal if you ask me.
Some hits, a lot of misses. We hope the food improves since the beers here are pretty good and they definitely need a proper menu to complement them.. innit?
