Two’s better than One, Dimsum at Tao, InterconKL

What’s better than eating dimsum alone? Eating dimsum with your clan, friends or colleagues, of course. And what’s better than that?

I can tell you, it’s a 1 for 1 promotion happening at Tao InterContinental KL!

This means that pick for a selected menu, any basket of dimsum, and get the next same basket, on the house.

It’s perfect for over-eating merrymaking isn’t it?

This is happening every weekend for lunch, beginning 1 October to 27 November 2016, buy 1, free 1,  from RM 12.00 nett onwards per basket and a minimum of four diners.

Dimsum chef Lo Tian Sion creates mouth-watering morsels and dishes  – we loved the double-boiled abalone and sea treasure dumpling in bouillon, steamed abalone prawns “har kow”, baked smoked salmon in honey puff pastry, as well as rice noodle rolls with fried soft shell crab.

Amongst the chef’s recommendations include steamed smoked duck “mo mo” skin rolls with red oil; deep-fried minced smoked duck taro in black pepper; pan-fried sesame minced chicken ham in glutinous pancakes; baked egg tarts in bamboo charcoal cup; and stir-fried radish cake with “Tao” spicy scallop sauce.

We didn’t get to try it, so can’t say if it’s good or not, but diners can look out for the high end items such as the foie gras “xiao long bao”, steamed Jade abalone in traditional chicken glutinous rice, as well as pan-fried rice noodle rolls with dried shrimps and spring onion.
