Here’s another weekend find worth writing about.
We hardly find ourselves in the Sri Kembangan area, but last weekend, we were out, hunting for the Sabah weekend market, and we chanced upon Restoran Kok Wah.
Only 11am and the place was already packed.
Chinese noodles are the name of the game.
The permutations are endless, choose your noodles then tell them if you want it dry, in dark sauce , in soup or in curry. There’s fu yee char yoke (fremented bean coated deep fried pork), chicken feet, meat balls, fu chok, taufu pok, see hum (cockles), vegetarian faux meat, yong tau foo and a ton of other add ons to choose from.
From flat egg noodles, to vermicelli, spinach noodles and even thin or think yellow noodles, you name it they have it. There’s even the option of nasi lemak and chinese kuih being sold here.
Different preparations of chili for different noodles.. or you can just ask for several if you’re really into chilies!
Yong Tau Foo
Chinese style Nasi Lemak – no verdict on this as we haven’t tried it yet..
The portions are commendably huge and the price of RM5.50 music to our ears.
I’m eyeing that HUGE bowl of curry laksa….with condiments of fried pork in fermented red bean curd and square meatballs we don’t often see in a bowl of curry laksa! 😉
haha sounds massive! sure u can finish?
I’ll have all the ingredients for my noodle, too hard to choose only 2 or 3, hehe ^__^
good choices!
Merindu nasi lemak … Laparrr
Hi, can I ask where’s the location/address for this kopitiam? Tried googling but didn’t get any results thanks
I wanna go! Looks good, see if I can stop by one of these mornings 😀
Even if you stopped by 7 mornings, you won’t be able to try them all;)
