Simply d

Simply delicious.. or simply d for short.

And while the concept of this outlet plays out in the fast-food vein, there are no shortcuts where the quality and quantity of the food served, is concerned.

If the name sounds familiar, it is because the Simply d is a chain under The Delicious Group, E & O Bhd. Chef Steve Allen, CEO of the Delicious group was there to greet us and walk us through the rather cute and innovative menu.

Beef short ribs herbal soup.. give it a good toss!

The way you order is simple. Just pick a dish you fancy, i.e. Vietnamese Pho, or Beef Rib Noodles, and then pick the type of pasta or noodle you want with it. So depending on your mood, you may match linguine or flat white noodles, or whatever you fancy on a particular day, in a marinara style or a laksa style.

In fact, talking to Steve, he tells us that Malaysians are a pick lot, and they prefer to do their own mix and match of dishes and drinks. The indecisive diners would probably hate it, but more adventurous eaters would love it as they could vary their combinations and never get bored even if they dine there daily. Even the drinks can be mixed up – from ice blended to flavoured teas etc.

chili chicken Pasta mee with Linguine – very similar to Pan Mee, but less spicy, less garlicky an with less deep fried shallots

Caesar Salad with Tea Egg.. just like a regular Ceasar, but with a herbal tea infused hard boiled egg on top. Pretty tasty and healthy too. We like the food here because you can tell that it is less greasy and a lot more green.
