It’s always nice to have a reason to visit La Scala. Being a new place and all, you still get to see finishing touches added, each time you visit.
Take for example, the latest addition – a lovely, breezy balcony area, complete with italian tiles, tall columns of hand-painted gold grapevines and potted grape plants growing in a corner. It’s definitely a great spot for alfresco dining, and my favourite spot in the entire restaurant! All these classy touches are of course, the brainchild of owner Madame Nilou de Luca Gabrielli.
Beautiful decor! Actual gold leaf paint is used for the grapevines on the pillars
Love the live orchids, mirrors and bleached wood decor in the dining area
From original handmade artistic Glass from Murano, to paintings that hang on the wall, all these incredible pieces of art at La Scala are for sale..
Chatting with owner Madame Nilou de Luca.. she really has great plans for La Scala.. so far so good.. place looks incredible
Rivolta Carmignani table clothes and napkins, no less…
If these sheets were a sports car, they’d be a Bugatti i.e. super luxurious, incredibly well made, and reeking of class!
Alongside the elegant fabrics and timeless designs, La Scala also has some terrific Italian cuisine, and this Valentines, for just RM278++ per person, you can be sure your date will be impressed at the 8-course dinner planned by Chef Lucio Russo for this special night. By the way, if you can guess the significance of the numbers 278 (price of the dinner), there will be a special prize to be won on that night.
A glass of Bellini each, for the love birds..
A choice of starters. Either Beef Carpaccio with Truffle and Pistachio di Bronte, Oxtail cube deep-fried, Deer Tartar & Chicken Roll on Vegetables, or,
Tuna Tartar, Hand chopped Squid, Seabass Carpaccio and Scallops.
For the first course choose between either a 24K Gold Homemade Pink Ravioli, or Green Ravioli or Red Ravioli. The Pink Ravioli is stuffed with fresh Salmon, the Green Ravioli with Genovese Ragout and the Red Ravioli with Ricotta cheese, porcini mushrooms and truffle. Of these, we loved the Genovese Ragout the best, which was a beef ragout made Genova style. When I cut into the ravioli, a lovely golden brown and extremely delicious sauce spilled out. Tender strands of beef ragout were just too good for words.
One of the nicest places for a cosy dinner with your loved one… La Scala..
I’ve never eaten so much gold in my life.. luxurious (If I suffered rheumatoid arthritis, it would be fixed here, for sure! )
Choose from a mains of either Duck breast roasted with raspberry and Pistachio Bronte, or,
Red Snapper with tomato, eggplant, capers and Sicilian bread
There is also a vegetarian option of Eggplants baked with Buffalo Mozzarella cheese and Tomato, for those who don’t eat meat.
Finally, a heart-warming dessert of Crostata di Crema di Fragole.. who can resist this whimsical looking dessert of Strawberry Tart with Chantilly cream. Definitely a great way to end a romantic date.
And at La Scala on Valentines, all diners will be presented with a lovely gift of a miniature bottle of Prosecco for each couple, and some Baci chocolates. Ah., what can I tell you.. romance is definitely in the air!

What a pretty looking line up!
Gorgeous presentation and super delectable italian cuisine!
Wow, did I read 24K Gold???!! That sounds like a super duper luxurious place to dine in; though the food looks amazingly gorgeous! From the sound of it, it is evidently tested that they taste as great as they look!
I am sure it’s a lovely place for a romantic evening 😉
