Mid last week, twitter was rocking with so many updates on Eyjafjallajökull it was hard to miss the news. Many civil aviation authorities throughout Europe ordered their country’s airspace closed because of a cloud of ash from a volcano in Iceland, forcing up to 6,000 flight cancellations across the continent.
The extent of the disruption reached major airports all around the world as flights in and out of Europe ground to a stop. The Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland has erupted for the second time in less than a month, melting ice, shooting smoke and steam into the air and forcing hundreds of people to flee rising flood waters. Definately not Heathrow, Charles de Gauille or Schiphol. I feel that Asian airports are way cleaner, well organised and more shopping to do 🙂 Perhaps Munich, not been there but heard lots or the one in Barcelona or Belgium is not bad. Small but clean and the later, lots of artwork from famous artist to gawk at!

I thought the HK airport is not so great. Incheon and Changi are impressive. And I’d add the Kuala Lumpur IA to those two. It’s a very pleasant one 🙂
