Oversea Chinese Restaurant @ Plaza Armada, PJ

Hanging out with the ‘young ones’ at Merchant Pub.. this old pub in Armada is suppose to be famous for having the longest bar counter in town, the bar offers an excellent choices of (affordable)beverages, especially during happy hour, and also American pool tables are available for the young and the restless to blow off steam!

After a long day of POA meetings, it’s time to let loose.
No one can drink these guys under the table. Not even Dick Turpin:P

Of course the closest place to have dinner after that would be at the Oversea Restaurant in Armada. Though this restaurant is a pretty old one (built in 1994 to be exact), the food here is still not bad. The highlight of that night’s dinner was the fish – deep fried (to look like potato chips) and then dunked in the center bowl of thick gooey black pepper sauce. I have not tried this dish before – it was strange but pretty all right in taste. The other dish I really liked was, instead of the normal fried chicken (which gets pretty boring after awhile), they served something like beggars chicken, but in a claypot. The chicken was soft, succulent, infused with Chinese herbs and literally falling off the bone. One just had to lightly stick the blunt end of the spoon onto the chicken to feel the meat parting from the bone. Fantastic.

Tomorrow, part two of our POA continues. A least tonight, we are happy and well fed;)

NOOOO way!! I was just in Menara Axis opposite this morning and wondered we've heard virtually nothing of the old joints around Armada on blogs, save for the newish Imperial Garden!! Some telepathic action going on!

Goodness – I have not stepped foot into Armada for years! Very old world there… guess they still have their niche.
Food in the Oversea chain is generally good – glad they have maintained it.

Look like where Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew from the Black pearl might want to hang out if they were in PJ!

Passed it often, but never been inside the Armada before.
