Now you see it..
Now you don’t!
It’s Riblee’s very amazing..
Bourbon Ribs!!
Ah.. truly satisfying, especially when washed down with a good year..
Crisp Roast Pork Salad -Crispy roast pork served on a bed of greek salad & topped with balsamic vinegar
When Sean of EatdrinkKL said to me, Ciki, we are going for some pokey pleasure I thought he was getting fresh with me. Did he say “poke?” and “pleasure” in the same sentence? Ah.. then I realised he meant “porky”. Anyway Riblee’s has been around for yonks (or should I say, oinks) and they make some of the best pork ribs in town. Between the two of us, we ate portions for 4 persons and all the dishes were made up of the creamiest, yet most divinely crunchy, crispy pork on earth. Melt in your mouth fat, crispy crackling skin and some terrific apple sauce is all you need with this meal. The roasted potatoes, and the potato wedges were really well done as well. There goes Ciki’s best intentions of low fat, low carbs for this week. Out the riblee door.
The prices are cheap. Averaging RM35 per dish which is really a bargain. The portions are large and the service is fast. My only complaint was that the roast pork salad (try and picture a siew yoke salad because that was what it was) had too much fat in it. When I say too much fat, I mean, no pork meat at all. Just fat and crackling. Let it be said, I like my siew yoke fatty but not that fatty. The best dish for me were the Bourbon Glazed Ribs. These ribs are glazed in special bourbon sauce, charbroiled, served with corn on the cob, cinnamon apples & pigtail fries. Very well marinaded, not too sweet and with lots of meat and bite to it. I die a little each time, for soft bone, and these ribs were really soft. There wasn’t much left of anything, once I was done with the ribs.
Crisp Roast Pork Special (3 layer pork with around 50% fat content)
Crispy skin roast pork belly served on a bed of truffle oil mash potatoes, served with salsa verde & roast apple onion confit. This was a heavenly dish as well but too bad we could not taste the truffle in the mash.
Crackling Roast Pork
Roll roasted crispy skin roast pork served with apple sauce rosemary roasted baby potatoes & sauteed vegetables.
American Mud Pie
Ice Cream & Chocolate Trifle (there’s booze in it!)
This place comes highly recommended by C & C but don’t do your annual check up in the same week:P Riblee’s is a must try!

That salad is definitely targetted to meat lovers – so much pork and so little greens! 😀
i know.. i felt guilty. only briefly.
More pork?! Yikes!
hahaha.. this time it truly is pork. not a walnut lookalike 😛
PS- I just noticed that “Ice Cream & Chocolate Trifle” with alcohol. That looks extremely tasty…

the slogan has a nice ring to it.

I’m like you. I love my roast pork fatty, but not THAT fatty. I can’t see any meat from the picture!
i know.. that dish was wayyyy too fatty for me!
I think this is my favorite post of yours. I also think the first photo really deserved the title of your previous post, but anyway. 😛
Looks so good. So good I’ve typed the address into google maps. If that’s not a result I don’t know what is!
