The time has come again and Muslims worldwide observe Ramadan, a period of fasting and other rituals designed to bring self-purification through self-restraint and other good deeds. I always marvel at the will power and discipline of my Muslim friends.. where the fasting begins at dawn and lasts until sunset, and then they break their fast with an evening meal, i.e. Iftar. And one of the great places to have Iftar with friends, family or colleagues, would be at Contango, Majestic Hotel KL.
Here you may experience a culinary feast and sample some of the finest recipes from across the country with the restaurant’s Festive Specials.
With two open kitchens, you can be sure you will be well fed, and entertained by the ‘dancing’ Chefs who work the live stations. Contango serves a wide variety of dishes with cuisine ranging from Thai and Japanese to Western Grill and Italian, with a special focus on Classic Malay Cuisine of course, during this month of Ramadan, so you better bring your appetites with you.
Contango’s buffet dinner is priced at RM98++ per person. For those looking to host exclusive dinner parties in the function rooms, The Majestic Hotel has a special menu covering traditional recipes selected from various regions in Malaysia. There will be traditional Malay favourites such as the ever so popular Udang Galah Sambal from Perak, Negeri Sembilan’s famed Rendang Itik and Terengganu’s signature Singgang Tulang. This Festive Banquet Special is priced at RM120++ per person for a minimum of 30 persons and above.
In fact, the spread at Contango is so huge, I doubt anyone can sample every single dish in one night! Will let the following photos, do the talking.. Enjoy!
