We make it a point to attend the Wine Fiesta each year, that’s organized by Straits Wine Co.
This year we attended the one held at the Roof Garden @ Damansara City (DC) Mall. It rained buckets that day, but it did not deter the crowd from arriving in style, albeit late.
This time around, there are 29 wineries from across the globe; featuring 70 wines from France, Italy, Portugal, England, USA, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.
The best thing about the wine event were the Wine Tasting Session that happened concurrently with the exhibition, and at appointed intervals. We tried wines from France, Spain, but more uniquely wines from India and sparkling wines from the USA too.
This time round, the spread of food was impressive too, and really the perfect fodder and match for the wines.
Of special note.. the indie GIN from Adelaide Hills. Rare yet delicious.. it was the highlight for me, though this was a wine event.. 25 individual botanicals – with aromatic notes of Peppermint Gum Leaf, Saltbush, Wild Thyme, Pepperberry, Wattleseed, Anise Myrtle, Macadamia and of course – a healthy dose of Juniper. Delish!
