Many years ago, we drove past a host spring accommodation in Bentong, Pahang and last week, we finally got a chance to visit it.
This resort cum community hot spring by ēRYAbySURIA actually has several resorts to its name. Two hotels and one holiday camp under its roof, all located at strategic locations such as Cherating Pahang, Terengganu, Janda Baik Pahang, Johor Baru and the one we were visiting, Bentong Pahang.
The concept is that the hot spring’s medicinal and healing properties, should be a natural asset to be shared among the people, but also, the Suria resort is privately owned and with it comes a very inviting private pool and amenities for those seeking a bit of a resort like weekend getaway.
The location is not far from the city, about 69 km away from the north of Kuala Lumpur via Karak Highway.
The therapeutic element of the hot sulphuric water is believed to significantly improve health and vitality. Your skin definitely feels smoother after a dip in the hot spring water.
There’s a regular temperature kid’s pool just next to the hot spring pools for you to cool off if the temperatures get too hot.
The resort accommodation is fully equipped with various modern facilities that include facilities for meeting and trainings. And while the place is clean enough and fairly well maintained, there’s not a lot to do there, so we suggest that one weekend is ample to explore the place.
kid’s playground and several well kept, green spots for children to explore
One of the outstanding things from the time we arrived till check out was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. We checked into our Jacuzzi Villa without any trouble.
The Villa itself was pretty huge. It had one king sized bed a sofa bed and consisted of a bedroom and living area/room. The Villa had its own private outdoor Jacuzzi which was a huge plus. You can opt to have dinner and and laze by the jacuzzi if you like. It’s all really zen and relaxing.
These are all Non-Smoking Rooms with Air Conditioning, TV, Mini fridge, and WIFI Access was zippy.
Soon it was time to have lunch and a dip in the pool. All food served at this resort is halal.
Lunch by the pool or even lunch at your own private villa jacuzzi if the weather is too hot, is a good idea.
We like to keep the hot springs for the late evenings, as the minerals and warmth of the water is a natural relaxant and helps the body unwind just before sleep.
dinner indoors by the jacuzzi, at your own villa!
breakfast has a wide selection to choose from – both western and local style to choose from..
One of the most relaxing holidays just 1 hour for KL by car and we highly recommend Suria Hot Springs to holiday makers seeking a “healthy” soak and some fun in the sun not to far from Kuala Lumpur.
Reasons to visit: Infant & Child friendly, Super Hospitable staff, Delicious Halal Food, & located close to KL.

For some variety check out Bentong for street food or dinner. Jalan Pasar is a good place to visit for street food – many vendors to pick from. This one sold Yong Tau Foo and the famous Shu Shi Fen.
Stalls offering beehoon, noodles, glutinous rice, and a wide variety of side dishes like fried wantan, beancurd, fish balls, curry noodles, bao etc. can be found along Jalan Pasar from 8pm till wee hours of the morning.
