We’ve recently been exploring the Selayang/Kepong area with new found vigor.
Visiting my Uncle Thomas who lives there, meant we got to try his favourite joints and boy does his hunting ground have good food..
Restoran New Ban Lee is famous for all kinds of noodles.
But the most interesting thing here is the Sang mee – thick noodles.
Nice, thick and springy, it’s just like the Chinese version of Udon. The minced pork has a nice lard aftertaste to it.
The curry Chee Cheong Fun is also what folks come here for – we found the curry just OK, but the deep fried baby shrimp on the side, was the bomb. Addictive, super crunchy stuff.
Another must order – the sweet potato balls and fried shrimp cake. Goes best with the chili sauce
Check out the furniture in this coffee shop .. makes you curious enough to visit right:P
Definitely come here if noodles are your thing!
