We’ve always been huge fans of Delectable by Su’s fabulous cakes and imaginative sweet creations.
So, when we gleefully found out that they’d just open shop at a most gorgeous premises, Delectable @ Glasshouse Seputeh, we quickly organized a visit to check out her joint.
This place is apparently where the Delectable main Kitchen is housed as well. So the concept of the little cafe/restaurant is like a testing ground for their latest creations. Speaking to Su, she tells us that it’s a place for feedback and for fine tuning their mainstream offerings.
While this is true, there’s nothing amateurish nor sloppy about the food. I was thrilled with the savory selection as well as the sweets, and these I am happy to report were chock-a-block with ingredients and satisfyingly value for money. Main dishes cost around RM16-18 but the portions were generous.
Here’s what we had.
Calamari Salad.. loved the blueberries that went so well with the crunchy crispy battered calamari
Homemade Lasagna… lots of minced meat, but equally much cheese, & vegetables such as spinach, aubergine and caramalized onions in each mouthful.
Chicken pie drenched in gravy, served with a sunny side up and mashed peas – comfort food for the soul.
Flaky, buttery crumbly pastry with chucks of chicken inside, a lovely thick gooey mess of mashed peas mixed with brown gravy and runny yolk.. heart-stopingly divine!
Praline Espresso!
Totally smittened with Delectable by Su’s Popcorn Brownie Avalanche. Warm fudge brownie buried under sticky caramel, strawberry ice-cream and piping hot caramel popcorn. Sublime..
And for those who cannot.. and will not.. there are Guilt-free Sundaes!! Think delicious chia and agar pudding layered with fresh fruits, berries and a mountain of strawberry frozen yogurt. No added sugars and yet decadent enough to be passed off as dessert. It’s like having your cake, and eating it.
Be it Latte, Espresso, Cappuccino or just long black.. it’s all delicious
Free flow of freshly baked and popped, popcorn while you wait
Glasshouse itself is a rather cool space that can be rented for corporate as well as social events. It’s all very modern and gorgeous – think loads of space, high glass walls and ceilings, fortified with steel. Well, you know, just like a Glasshouse.

The glass house is a sight to behold….I can just imagine when the natural rays of sunshine comes through. Oh, I like that there’s a guilt-free sundae! 😉 And popcorn while you wait is a nice touch (got that at Brolly too).
Yah … pleasures minus some of the sinfulness.. can’t complain! I have yet to go to Brolly.. 🙁
What a lovely place! An attractive and warm ambiance, and I love the exposed brick! The presentations are beautiful and artistic and all look delicious! 🙂

Okayyyyy LOL
Lasagna served in a bowl, that’s very special!
LOL go try!
Brings to mind the age old proverb, people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. LOL!!! Great looking stuff they have here! Is this in some hill region? Otherwise, they would need a lot of air-conditioning with all that heat coming in through the glass.
Definitely air-conditioned in the cafe. But some of the event areas, Probably not. Just bring in your own blowers la;)
