I’m not sure how Japanese BBQ is any different from outdoor bbq..but yeah, this place rawks. 😂🫶 (my 8 yr old picked the song on this reel i have nfc😆)

This outdoor BBQ joint in Taman Desa is always full. Be prepared to queue/wait for min 1/2 an hour for a table. Highlights include the Saba fish and the beef brisket. Super delish.

Beggars CAN be choosers.. or can’t they? Heong Kee revisited- this place has seen better days. Not sure if it’s my memory or the chicken feeling a lot smaller. Herbs still pack a dong guai, kei chee, ginseng punch though.. and if you can swim past the oil, you’d probably love the fall of the bone, mushy tender chicken meat. Veggie dishes seem greasier too - not much of a crowd unlike its glory years… didnt even need to fight for a parking spot in its compound garden this time round. #beggarschicken

Be prepared to whack your rice quota out of the park if you dine here. Super affordable - even if you double up the chicken pieces your meal will hover at less than 60 ringgit for 2pax.
