The flashpacker constantly needs WiFi or Internet facilities wherever they roam. Although flashpacking and flashpackers might sound suspiciously like backpacking and backpackers, they are not the same. The key element that sets them apart? Flashpackers, unlike backpackers, tend to have good spending power and budget and they like to use this to indulge in a classy meals at a good restaurants or in whichever way suits their fancy. They do however like to stay at places that are value for money – not over the top expensive hotels, so that they have more disposable income to indulge in the things that they like doing, during their holiday.

Enter Tune Hotel.

I happened to be at the right time and right place last week – just finishing off my Scotland press trip, and got this invitation to the launch of the first ever Tune Hotel in Edinburgh Scotland. I said yes, because the Tune Haymarket was just a stone’s throw from where I was.

The demand for a low cost hotel that offers good quality basics and importantly a great night’s sleep is becoming ever more important as flashpackers and business travellers are swayed by price but unwilling to compromise on comfort. Edinburgh is an immensely important trade and tourism hub and Tune happens to be a brand that many parts of the world, especially Asia, is familiar with. It remains to be seen if it can break into the local market and be identified as a product that offers quality at low prices. Further Scottish development are on the cards and you won’t be wrong to say that Tune, is indeed taking with world by storm.

This Scottish hotel offers visitors international class accommodation, with comforts such as 24 hour wifi – great value, great savings. Rooms start from 25 pounds a night only which is ridiculously cheap considering Tune Haymarket is on prime location, across the road form Haymarket station, and just a stone’s throw from Princes Street and the Royal Mile. We timed it and it was a 10 minute walk up the road, to Princes Street, literally.
